Need help connecting EQ to Amp | Marantz 1090 \ Marantz EQ20

Hello,

I'm trying to get clarity around the best way to connect this EQ to this amp, as I cannot get it to work.

On the back of the 1090, there is AUX (that's where the DAC is connected) and I have a tape 1 and tape 2 monitor.

Should you connect tape 1 out to the EQ's tape in, then the EQ's REC Out, to the 1090's Tape In?

On the EQ, there is also a Line In and Line Out.

Any help would be greatly welcomed. I've really enjoyed reading this forum and am glad to finally have signed up.

This ^^^

The Tape in/out jacks on the EQ replace the ones you used on the amp so you still have them available if you need them.

This is what I like about AK. A person new to this site and maybe to the hobby asks a perfectly legitimate question and gets an answer that solves his problem from several helpful members. The nice think about using the tape monitor switch is that it give you a chance to do A - B comparisons and also allows you to shut down the EQ when you don't want or need it.
