Need help deciding between 2 Klipsch Towers

For that much money, get a higher end used Klipsch.
You can easily get small reference series towers or vintage KG4.

How do you know you'll like either one of them? Why those two?

Who are we to second guess what the OP wants/need? After all, it is his choice and decision.

After looking at the specs, I would go with the F-2s. Frequency Response is greater, Crossover Frequency is greater, the Power Handling and Sensitivity are the same. If you have any back pain, the F-2s are lighter by two pounds. :thmbsp: :music:

I am not sure that I will choose either or. I'm meeting up with a guy on craigslist tonight who owns both pairs and had them listed for the same value so I wanted to get opinions on of either was higher regarded or what not. But I am going to demo both of them to see which sounds better. I was under the impression this was a good deal for either pair.. Am I correct in this?

+1 . . .

Specs aside, and because the OP is looking for advice, who we are are people on a forum who are free to give advice for free.

For around $250, you can easily pick up a nice set of Klipsch KG4 speakers and get much better sound than either of those two choices the one CL seller offered you.

I have 3 pair of KG4s now doing duty as surrounds . . . but I had a great time with them on two channel too.

Better specs on the KG4s than what you just looked at . . . IMHO keep cruising on Craigslist

My experience has been that (in the world of Klipsch) the bigger the better. So, between the two, I'd go with the largest I could fit/afford.

I agree.I see used Heresy with 12" woofers and the KLF 20/30 series towers for a little more money. Good luck and enjoy what ever model Klipsch you purchase.

When we bought our SF-2's we previewed the two other towers at that time one set was bigger the other smaller. The SF-2's for us was the perfect match for living room décor and incredible sound including bass. Good Luck let your ears do the walking.
