Out on the Tiles
The faders and pots need to be cleaned so I started the process of opening up my QRX-4500.
First I took off the wood case, then I carefully removed all the knobs to hopefully remove the faceplate. What is the easiest way to get the faceplate off? I attached some pics of where I am right now:
This is a pic looking down the side directly behind the faceplate. there are two silver screws in the middle attaching the plate to the chassis (I think?) but I can't unscrew them because they are screwed from behind the faceplate. There are also 2 screws on the ends that are black but hard as hell to get out. Not sure if this is what I should work on first?
This is a pic of the bottom of the receiver near the faceplate. It has like 8 black screws that, I believe, attach the big bottom metal plate to the unit.
Finally, this is the view from the top looking straight down at the unit. I really hope I don't have to disassemble any of this to get to those pots and faders!
