Need help locating quality service/repair for my A9 Amp

Nightmare

Member
Lost both channels on my Pioneer A9 amp. I think it is the protection circuit as I do not hear the relays kicking in on start up. Heck, for all I know it could be the driver circuits. Live in Florida and the local "repair facility" is a joke when it comes to components like this. Took them 13 months to fix one of my other units and it was left out in the humidity to rust with a "we can't control the humidity" and "it's just cosmetics anyways".:tears:

Well, needless to say I will never use them again and here-in lies the problem. I can not seem to find any repair facilities that will work on such an old amplifier. Would prefer something in the Tampa/St Petersburg area but will consider sending it to whomever just so long as I know that I will get a quality repair for this unit.

Any suggestions for repairs?

TIA

Sorry for bringing up a dead thread, but I am still in need of repair or restoration service on my now two Pioneer A9 Amps.

Can somebody recommend someone so that I can get these units repaired/restored? Preferably in the Florida or SE US area?

I have sent out many emails to the sponsors (those with banners on the home page) for repair service.

Thanks

I also looking for exact the same thing for my two A9. Until know no success. There left only 3 masters in the world and they are overloaded with a broken A9 ,SA9800 and other bunch of things. Also the A9 is extremely difficult to repair and restored because is built with a special transistors and they has not gut substitution in the modern world. Or to be substitute should be redesign the schematic diagram , but this in most cases downgrade the original quality of sound resolution and characteristic of the amplifier . Yes the amplifier will working but not likes the original A9 amp. Also the masters scare to repair this amp because is not worted the time and they know very well that if the customer is more precise will be not happy from the repairing. This is the reason in E bay you can no find gut original A9 .Only repaired or defective. The gut ones are not for sale because they sound amassing. So I bought two
