need help: technics SB 7000A's with blown tweeters

Hi Forumers,

I just acquired a pair of Technics SB-7000A's only to discover the tweeters don't work. They seem to need new coils. Does anyone know a possible source for replacements, or something that could be used as a replacement? I'd like to fix these. Thanks,

Speaker Repairs

You might try to contact Richard So. His name came up repeatedly when I was looking to repair some a/d/s drivers. I have some Technics SB-7070 tweeters - one has a broken voice coil lead wire and likely the other one also. I should have shipped to him weeks ago. His price for repairing those was $20 each plus return shipping = $40 + $8.10 = $48.10, a bargain indeed.
