You came to the wrong place to say something like that. :D This wouldn't be a very interesting place if AKers didn't get new gear. So I'm not gonna help you out.

Thin the lining of your wallet enough you will stop .... trust me on this one .....

I hear you. I can not help it either. Look on it from another angle: you are saving vinatge stuff from dumpsters, meet new folks when buying and selling and at AK as well. You could throw your money away in casinos or amny other ways. These pieces help you enjoy music one of the most varied and interesting art forms. Plus you gain many friends.

If you're looking for help with the 'disease' you're barking up the wrong tree. Nothing but us enablers in this joint :D.

we need a 12 step program....
anyone wanna try to do an intervention on me?
did you meet my little doggie yet?

Well, you have taken the first step, and that is admitting you have a "problem".:drunk:

Seriously, when I feel like I may need to slow down I try and look at my current equipment and see if there are things I can do, free or cheap, with what I have. Cleaning, searching for free manuals, browsing old threads for information/education, rearranging etc. I also like to camp/fish and work in my garden. If none of these things work, just remember-there are worse things that you could be doing with your money.

lol, im sure some of you know just how much equipment i have, yet, here i am bout to shell out the bikkies for another biiig power amp 2600 of them hehe

I got the same problemas some AK memebrs

I just counted all the gears I got in the house, and it is over 120 units. Amplifers, receivers, tuners, equalizers, tape-decks, R-R tape decks, over 1000 audio tubes, ouput transformers along with the accompamy power trans. , pre-amps, TT, and all those test equipments. I think my house is tilted to one side with all those heavy irons sitting on one side of the house. I think I should sell some of those stuff, and make some room for my new woodworking hobby.
