Need some help getting set up

Just bought a system that I had bought new years ago, but now I don't remember what gets hooked up to what, can any one help?

Just bought a system that I had bought new years ago, but now I don't remember what gets hooked up to what, can any one help?

Firstly, your timer is the (switched) power supply for most of the components - it has a main supply outlet on the back - you will need the correct adapter plug so you can run a power lead from there to supply (via a 4/5 or 6 socket adapter) the rest of the equipment.

Second, you can either plug each item (cassette, amp, tuner etc) into the 4/5 or 6 socket adapter or you can plug the other items into the power outlets on the back of your amp (if it has the outlets).

Thirdly, look on the back of your amp and it will tell you exactly where to plug each of the audio leads (red and white plugs) from the individual components into.

Fourth, put your speaker wires into the back of the amp (noting which wires go to pos and neg).

Fifth, set the time on the timer. Push the on button, power up and play on!!!!! Rock and roll dude!!!!!!! I think thats roughly it.

PS. Tape players go through the equaliser then to the amp as a kind of loop through the rec in and play out leads. Dynamic processors I cant tell you as I haven`t got one. Dont forget to set the weights on your t/table for cartridge/needle.

Warning Will Robinson Warning. Your DT-500 timer will have a limit of 500watts. That means that anything plugged into it or daisy chained along the way can only total 500 watts. So be careful you don't over load it the wattage of each of your units will be listed on the back on the data plate.

OK I'm the Huckleberry - I just got a new scanner and can't get it to give me a decent scan under 122Kb #!$##^*&(

The pic is in the Pioneer Manual database - look for SR-9 and it's on Page 9.

This picture was helpfull except I don't have an equalizer and I could not read INPUT/OUTPUT or REC/PLAY. Bare with me as this is old school, and I don't have any manuals.

PLAY is on the right, REC is on the left ........ Likewise INPUT is on the left, OUTPUT is on the right.

Connections (w/o Eq)
Stereo amp REC connect to Reverb INPUT,
Reverb OUTPUT to Processor INPUT,
Processor OUTPUT to Stereo amp PLAY,
Tape Deck PLAY to Reverb PLAY,
Tape Deck REC to Reverb REC

Note: The stereo amp REC and PLAY jacks used are for an unused Aux/Vid component or an unused Tape 1 or 2 player.

nice set up but the reverb amp???????????? y do u need it really??? ummm yea i have one but not hooked up jus next to my system for the vintage look blushing hard now lol
