Need suggestions for a DD Turntable....

Lots of good ones to look for. Too many to list but some to consider would be PL-518, PL-55X, PL-600, PL-630, and PL-707 come to mind. But there are many more. Do a google search by just typing in "Pioneer PL" and see what that brings up for you.

If you find one that interests you then post a question about it in the Turntable forum.

Good luck.

I'm a big fan of the PL-520. I owned one from new for close to 30 years and it worked great throughout that period. It is not a servo-lock so you do have to check the speed & adjust occasionally, but it is relatively quiet as far as rumble, and the tonearm movement is via a second motor so you don't have that asymmetrical load applied to the platter motor. Very smooth, very quiet, arm is the typical high-mass S-curve type. I used Shure V15 type IV's or V's on it and that seemed to be an effective combination.

I've got a PL-500 that I like alot. Its full auto with Quartz lock and Direct Drive. They can be had fairly cheap :)
