Stopped at yard sale today and spotted a couple of familiar looking receivers. Turned out that one was a four button 2015 with wood cabinet! The other was a Pioneer SX-434.

There was also a pair of vintage speakers there too. Checked them out and they turned out to be Imperial 6's! The surrounds look good on them. Cabinets are average for the age. A little water damage on top of one, probably from a plant.

I walked away with two receivers and a pair of speakers all for $30. I think I did good today....

Wow. That's a sweet deal for a sweet looking Marantz.

My Imperials have treated cloth surrounds , I think the 2015 would of followed me home too.

I put a sock in the port of mine to tame them down .

funny, today I went to a flea market and walked away with a Marantz 2216 receiver in beautiful condition for 40 bucks lol

but your find is just wow

Well the right channel is a little weak. Tried deoxiting it and that didn't seem to help. I haven't had a chance to play with it today. It needs a new relamp also. It might be the victim of my first recap attempt...

It's pretty clean looking. Scratch free other than the wood cabinet. The cabinet has some chips and scratches on it.

The biggest score was the Imperial's. They have the cloth grills and treated cloth surrounds like Oerets. I'll have to try the sock trick. I've been A&Bing them with my NLA on my 2220b. I don't want to say quite yet, but they sure are sure giving my NLA's a run for their money....

Not sure what I'm going to do with the pioneer. It's a little rough. Missing a couple of knobs and at first quick glance, the power/speaker seems to be broken. The only way to turn it off is to unplug it

That Pioneer power switch is a SOB , very problematic . But all it might need is to be tightened up .
I drive my 6's with a 2250B in the BR set up .

Don't forget the balance control , fader lube should clean it up . Did you do all the controls when cleaning?

Have you checked the headphone jack contacts also , sometimes it will be dirty .
Once more ....

:worthless

Yeah, I lubed the balance control, the headphone jack, tape switch, and even the fuse holder, which probably wouldn't matter in this case. I was hoping a good overnight soaking would help. I'll hit it again later on. The AM wasn't working on it at first, but I noticed that if I played around with it, it would do weird things. After deoxiting the crap out of it and blowing out the gangs, it seemed to start working.

The stereo light is burned out. I can hear it play in stereo while playing the FM with headphones on. That's easy enough to fix.

What part of the headphone jack should I pay attention to? The part where it contacts the headphone jack as it's inserted I take it.

Right now it's nekkid, so I'll take pictures of it in a bit.

I've seen the jacks on marantz's with the Black plastic style crack and come apart . But most times it is the contacts that get dirty and need cleaning . If you can wiggle the plug a little and the sound improves then I'd look into the jack .

OK. Pictures. No difference when I wiggle the headphone plug. I tried deoxiting it again. Same results.

Here are some more pic's. I don't think the 2015 has ever been out of it's cabinet since it left the factory.
