I just acquired this mint Classé DR-10. Its a hefty 46 lbs for a 100-watter. Just thought I would share some nudies.

The DR series Classe amps are there best. Great find. I bet it sounds great to. What speakers are you driving with it?

The DR series were designed by Dave Reich. He really knew his stuff and made great sounding gear. His DR-2/DR-3/DR-3VHC series is near legendary for good reason.

Looking forward to your impressions, great find!

Is the binding post under the right speaker connector for a center channel?
Its for bridged speaker connection.

I have not decided which of 3 systems I’m putting it to use in yet. I also have a modified Classé CA-300, which I will be comparing it to, driving PSB Stratus Gold I’s.

Yes, I am familiar with the company history and product line. I own/have owned several Classe components, though this is my first DR series amp.

op amps are probably for speaker protection, DC servo, and possibly the input buffer/pre-driver thinger. i see three per channel plus change. if not used in the input circuit, i'm not sure what the third one would do...not that i'm an expert in amp design or anything... :)

Nice pickup!

Let us know how it sounds with your speakers. The vintage Classe gear is some really nice sounding stuff.

Partly correct. The three at the front belong to the speaker protection circuit. The other four are balanced input buffers, two per channel.
