Very nice looking Kenny! Love the heavy looking volume knob. Bet there aren't many of those around. The KR-9400's have a really similar wood panel design, and I'm also looking into replace/repair of these. Let me know what you decide to do, and how it turns out. I actually bought a table saw to try and cut some solid panels, but haven't got a round to it yet. Did that come out around '74-'76? That's when the Kr-9400's came out. Good luck.:thmbsp:

I bought a KT-7000 in 1970. I think the KA-5002 is a later model so '71 is most probably correct for this unit.

Found this list of specs on another site. looks like it is a 30 wpc unit. This was built before the FTC rules about specifying output power so it starts out at 180 watts until you read enough to see the 30 wpc @ 8Ω both channels 20-20kHz with less than 0.5% THD.

If you happen to hook up a TT, post back what your impressions are of the phono stage of the Kenny.
I inadvertently hooked up a TT to a Marantz 2270, the other day, and was surprised by the tonal differences from other receivers I'd used. Almost made me want to take up vinyl. :scratch2:

I use a low-output moving coil cartridge in my TT -- not compatible with the phono stage in the Kenny.
