New multi pic viewer is awesome but isn't working. On my end or OZ's?

The new look brought with it an awesome feature used in most other forums i.e. the multi pic viewer. The thumbs below show the system in another forum. The last few days tho when opening an attached pic it opens in a new browser tab. This is just the single pic that has to be viewed then closed then the next pic opened then closed etc. Just like the old site.

Is this cool feature gone or broke or is there a setting on my end?

Hiya,

I am not having new tabs open with either and the function seems to be working as designed.

What browser are you using ???

Frannie

If you click on the image itself it does not open in a new tab but if you click on the Link it opens a new tab.

Okay. I have Firefox, and when I click on a thumbnail, a black overlay opens, with one picture showing, fit to the window, if it exceeds my display. Below the pic is a horizontal row of thumbnails, on which I can click, as I choose. As well, there are left- and right-arrows, to cycle the viewing, in either direction. Kind of like Picasa, which I don't use.

Is that what you mean? If so, it still works, and the setting might be in your control, or in your browser, if you are not using FF. I have noticed that there are non-trivial differences in the way the new AK performs, based on choice of browser, among other things.

Pulled in two random pictures

For me they open in a new tab.

FireFox for years.

Yes, for the first few weeks that is how it worked and I have not to my knowledge changed any setting. I'm not sure when FF last updated.

Yes that function seems to have stopped working for me in AK but still works fine in other forums. :wtf:

Par for my tech course tho.

Hiya,

Well all I can think of since its a AJAX function I think is that some add on maybe is blocking it or some setting is opening in a new tab. (I looked and could not find anything with my Firefox)

Have you tried starting up Firefox with all add ons turned off and see if it still does it here ???

Yeah tried just now no good.

Works in Explorer tho.

as i stated before it depends what you click on. if you click on the thumnail it will open as luvvinvinly said with a black background.now heres where it gets tricky,if you click the link to the right of the thumbnail it will open up in a new tab.

I had my browser set to open a new tab when clicking on a link, but changed that, some time ago. Now results are different, depending on what I click.

Well it is fixed for now no idea what it was as I spent all morning on routine maintenance of my computer. Thanks!

So it seems the issue is with zooming the page (CTRL + mouse wheel) when zoomed the system doesn't work for me. Zoom out and it works fine.
