Hello all,
I am not new to home audio but it has been some 25 years since I've done any investment in equipment.
Currently, I have a 1980s vintage Sony STR-AV1020 connected to some Bose 301s. Have an older Kenwood dual cassette transport lying around somewhere and an older Yamaha turntable collecting dust.

I have been into headphones and all the related gear for about 10 years. I have a fair amount of decent stuff to make me happy. Want to see how I can bridge from the digital head-fi domain back to a home set-up.

Recently, been re-introduced to vinyl and some decent speaker set-ups. Just looking to dip my toe in that pool again and see what I can manage to make sense given my strict budget (2 kids in college).

I'll be reading and looking around to what's changed since I was into all this.
Cheers

Welcome to the AK Crew.

And ya, the Vint Bug really doesn't really leave you. It goes away for a while, then comes back.

Kids can be a dent in our proclivity to want better sound, but there are deals out there if you are willing to wait and be patient. Check out the various estate sales/auctions/thrift stores, etc. as there's gotta be some gear for what yer looking for.

Good luck on your quest.
