I had a 2000 TJ(jeep jeep), never should have sold it, it was so much fun and incredibly dependable..
This one is the same, but different..
It will take me into retirement(9 more yrs) and beyond..

Edit: the first pic showed my company vehicle.. didn't want to violate any rules.. sorry AK.. o_O

V6 w/ a fully manual 6-speed gearbox? I like the sound of that!

Repaint it OG and your're set for the apocalypse!

PS: Did it include a jerrycan?

Just a few observations(not reviews)..
In 4 high, it takes some increased rev's to accomplish what you wanna do.. I haven't used 4 low yet(gimme some time)
In 2WD, it's good in forward motion, but in reverse, I also have to increase the rev's, especially backing up an incline or when turning the front wheels one way or the other.. I'm figuring it out though.. This thing is an absolute joy to drive..
My 2000 TJ was a 4 banger, 5 speed.. it was the last manual tranny I've experienced(except my bikes) so my inexperience is definitely affecting things.. I can tell you, that I took the TJ(jeep jeep) out on the 'tank trails' on Ft Sill several times and it got me thru things I never imagined it could(I had it almost on it's side in 'blackwater' and it just kept going.. my BIL still hates me for that(it was the passenger side)

I have no doubt that after I build up my experience with this machine, it will do more than I'll be willing to challenge it with..

Congrats on the new-to-you JL!

I purchased a 2021 last year, 2/5/2021 to be exact, and I am really enjoying it. Mine is a 2.0L turbo with the 8-spd auto and, as you can see, it's a 4-door and a few accessories have been added.

I decided to resurrect the most recent Jeep thread I could find.

I have a 2010 JKU Sport with a 6-speed manual that I bought new. I hit 150k last month and it has treated me very well. Still in great shape mechanically and still looks good too. I've built it up over the years with a lift, steel bumper/winch, ACE sliders and tons of cosmetic upgrades. From time to time I look at the new inventory and think "Maybe next year I'll like the new models better" and then I don't. Getting harder to find manuals these days too. The closest 4-door with a manual is almost 300 miles from me in CT.

She doesn't see a ton of offroad, but she does get on Martha's Vineyard beaches each year.
