Most people's (that I know) very first experience with HD in the last 5 years was in a bar or at a friend's house watching a football game... I still after 3 years with my own 61" still cant believe how gorgeous my Green Bay Packers look in HD. No real point to the thread other than maybe saying thank you to the NFL, Fox, CBS, ESPN, and now NBC for helping make the NFL look so awesome!

ps... for the record at 12:37 central time, the Packers are beating the bengals 14-7

pps... my Brewers and Badgers are amazing in HD as well

I can relate. I have been enjoying watching my Oregon Ducks in HD. Makes the price of the TV all the more worth it.

Yep, you get to see all those missed tackles, dropped balls and blown up OL plays all in brilliant clarity. The Pack's got some work to do

Yeah....

Even the ole lady is taken aback how beautiful everything looks in HD. She originally though the 52-inch Sammy was an extravagance, now she watches more'n I do.

Funny, we sometimes talk about how women are not so into audio gear, etc... but I've noticed the same thing. My wife OFTEN stops to watch TV for a bit when she passes through the living room, as if "snagged" or "hooked" by the picture. That never used to happen when we had an ordinary television, even with the same movies or programs. It is obviously at least partly the IMAGE she is seeing that is causing this behavior, not just the CONTENT of the image.

It's subliminal, man! Uberagents in the secret government are sending single frames of Ricky Martin hidden in the programming in high resolution. It's all part of the conspiracy to break up the Amercan family values with Latino pop stars! They already got the guys with Salma and that was only with low def!
