Nice Kenwood 3 Piece Set I Just Picked Up

I just got these at an estate sale this morning. A Kenwood KA 701 High Speed DC Integrated Amp , a KT 615 tuner and a KX 2060 cassette deck. The Amp and tuner work perfect. The Cassette deck tries to work but I am thinking it needs belts. I will tear into it later. I don't usually go fo Kenwood stuff but this amp sounds pretty nice and could be one I keep!

Don't see many of the 2060s out there. Most other Kenwood decks don't match the satin finish on the 701/615.

Because of the Kenwood name you probably paid way less than an 80wpc Pio/Mar/Sui would have cost. Nice stack of gear.

Yes it was cheap. $100 for all of it. I already ordered belts for the 2060. I have other cassette decks but this one looks pretty nice. I think it will work fine when I get the new belts on.
 
Although Kenwood didn't brand many cassette decks the 2060 is probably their best silver one.

you are right about not seeing many 2060's. It's hard to find info on it. Even though I ordered a belt kit I am not sure how many belts it needs. The kit I am getting comes with 3.

Yep that's it. I went there early to make sure I was first in line. It was in my van by 8:30 that morning. The turntable was not as nice as it looked in pics. It was missing parts. As for the bose speakers they are not something I like.

I took the 2060 apart to see for sure how many belts there are. It takes 4 total and I do plan to replace all of them. It will be a little extra work to do the counter belt but I think it will be worth it in the long run.

I guess Kenwood didn't sell lots of these. I am not finding a lot of these anywhere. At least Hifiengine has info on all three.
 
I got all 3 pieces cleaned up and all now work perfect. The lettering on all 3 is excellent. They all cleaned up real nice.

Did Kenwood ever make an integrated amp or receiver with the florouscan/VFD display to match the KX-2060?

Thanks, but I tried that one already. That manual is German/French/Dutch/Swedish only. All the other "manuals" links I get will happily charge you for the same foreign language copy. Guess I'll have to make do with that one.
 
translation software should work on this. @gadget73 has used it to translate a Japanese language spec sheet for tubes with good results. Maybe he’ll drop in and give it a try, or tell us how.

I just used Google Translate and pasted the images in. Nothing special about it, also not hard, just time consuming. It won't accept PDF files so you have to split them out into individual images per-page.
