O Canada (with glowing hearts)

.....seriously supports a high ending, also....very clean audio signals....practice singing it in the bathroom using speakers playing this youtube, then have the wifey come listen....the acoustics of a bathroom are usually brighter and tighter....will help you get into it....don't tell me there's not singers here at AK....music is what brought us to this refreshing Oasis.....

That's a great version. Right key for me, and, more importantly, a proper stirring lilt in tempo. When O Canada and The Star-Spangled Banner are sung in succession at sporting events, my anthem is often slow, almost like a funeral dirge, in comparison to the American anthem, with its martial air.

This one lifts up the listener, or singer. Joyous compared to most renditions.
Thanks.

....oh yeah, it builds and strengthens all the way to the end....alive and driving....seemed the musicians were into it....I tried to research who performed this, and only found it was performed by a Canadian orchestra....the recording got my eyes wet the first 4-5 times I heard it, and I've listened to about all the versions....sure am glad this got recorded.....

Here's a good version by the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra.

.....yes, I like that version and listened to it right before starting the thread....I was leaning toward background music to sing with, though, and this one has an intro section of 1:14 before you even get to the anthem....the 1:14 almost sounds like an overture to me....the ending doesn't lend well toward a high ending by the vocalist, either....Great Performance, but I would still go with the one in the opening post for background singing music.....
