At work the other day and a all to familiar Led Zeppelin song started playing on the Sirius blues station "Tea for one" and it was'nt Zeppelin, I looked and the guy or band was ( JOE BONAMASSA), They are excellent and the guitar work would make Jimmy Page proud. One word "AMAZING" if you have heard this band you know what I am saying, if you just heard about this band like me, start downloading or buying. You will not be disappointed :thmbsp::music::music::music::thmbsp:

I hadn't heard of him 'til a couple weeks ago when they played his concert at the Royal Albert hall on PBS.

Not my usual kind of music, but I was captivated for quite a while.

Bought a ticket this week to see him live again in March 2010. Check out his Live at Rockpalast dvd......it will blow you away.

Joe Bonamassa is VERY good! :thmbsp: He was mentioned somewhere online --I think it was right here on AK-- a year or two ago, which was when I first became aware of him. A talented guy!

I never heard of him until the radio starting advertising that he would be playing in the area recently. I never heard him until two days ago in the record store. Really good!

I agree with all above. A great player.
I could be wrong, but I think this might be the third thread on AK in the last couple of months about somebody discovering him.

Just D'L-ed The Ballad of John Henry. Pretty good and it reminds me a bit of Big Sugar with the BIG GUITAR sound.

Listening to Black Rock right now...:thmbsp:

You're in Mass. I saw Joe Bonnamassa at the Casino Ballroom in Hampton Beach, NH two summers ago. I was a great show and the tickets were only something like $25.
