I have segregated my audio and video setups, each at the opposite end of the house.

There is no TV in my music room, but now I have a problem, a number of digital sources require some kind of monitor for on screen setup, can anyone recommend a small practical unit for this application that can stay next to the player for & when its needed? Preferably not larger than a typical compact laptop computer screen.

Best Buy etc. has a whole bunch of them for sale. just make sure they have the inputs you need.

Heck there are used 13" TV's all over the place. I have 4 in my garage with front or back A/V inputs. They should work fine for your needs. And now that digital TV has switched over, there should be plenty at flea markets or pawn shops.

I run my Polk XM units' video outputs through TV screens to keep me from having to walk over kneel down to see the tiny 3" screen.
