Pair of Vintage 1970's Ohm Speakers - Model E

From the back of the speakers:

Ohm Electrodynamic Speaker System
Model E
Serial # 9299
Impedence (IEEE) 8/6 Ohms

Ohm Acoustics Corp.
Brooklyn NY

21.5'' Tall x 11.5'' Wide x 7.5'' Deep

The Cabinets are a bit dinged up around the edges
but otherwise sturdy and sound. Same for the Grills.

Nifty adjustable knobs on the back of the speakers
control Tweeter level.

They sound quite good. Nice soundstage projected
and crisp imaging. They perform quite well across a
broad range of musical genres.

sorry for the quasi-non sequitur that I am about to foist on this thread! :-P

I tried and tried and tried to find a home for a nice pair of Ohm Model Ds... failing to even give them away at the Westford antique radio swapmeet last Sunday... I offered them back up to the dump deities on Wednesday.

Maybe the sealed-box Es are more desirable...?

sorry to kvetch...

Those Es are a little steep at 95 ask. I was asked by a friend at a flea market is I wanted a pair for 10 and I had to be sure the wood was in good shape. I just gave them to my niece and they play just fine with her 2238B. They look very nice being real wood veneer with the metal screen on the tweeter and grilles in good shape.

Yeah, the $95 asking price is way optimistic. There's little $$$ love for the more traditional Ohm offerings and even less for 2-ways.
