My friend, no matter where you're at, or what you're pavin' with... 2800 ton is a GOOD day.:thmbsp:Mark W. said:Nothing beats a Big CAT. Not around here anyway today 7 solo dump trucks paved 2800 tons of AC in a 9.5 hour day I did 22 loads. We smoke!
That's an awesome day. Must be pretty good going. Everything has to be right for that kind of output. Must be a drum mix plant maybe with silos? Our best day so far is 2400 ton in an 8 hr day. Not bad for a 4.5 ton drop plant with no silos.ekmanning5 said:My friend, no matter where you're at, or what you're pavin' with... 2800 ton is a GOOD day.:thmbsp:
Now, how do those aforementioned Pioneer pieces sound?
Aw, it's not so bad. On the days when its about thirty degrees out, the asphalt keeps you nice and warm. And when it's 106 (actually paved once in that temperature...whew!) you just soak your shirt in the water tank of the roller every time it gets near the paver.mea2112 said:Glad to hear your 9100's arrived safely Mark. After reading about paving and 10 hour days, six days a week, my shitty desk job don't seem quite so bad!
Nothing like a hot day and lots of short passes to clean your system from the inside out. Seems like every cold one that you ever had the pleasure of enjoying needs to come out. 2 gallons of water is the norm for me on those nasty hot days. If you want to have some fun put a bottle of cheap perfume in the roller's water tank. Just don't let the roller guy catch you doing it though. You'll have one sweet smelling roller operator at the end of the day.ekmanning5 said:Aw, it's not so bad. On the days when its about thirty degrees out, the asphalt keeps you nice and warm.
