Omaha CL. rare??

I love when sellers on CL claim "I have seen them listed as high as $2500..."
You can put your stuff on CL and ask whatever price you want to.
The question is will you find any takers?

Actually, those are pretty rare, and I saw a really sweet pair go for close to 2 grand... If all the drivers are good, and the cabs aren't broke, I could easily see $400 for these..

VERY nice speakers, actually. Time-aligned and phase-aligned, IIRC. Seldom seen outside Japan (and occasionally Hong Kong :D). I don't know what their market value is, but that $400 doesn't seem excessive for what they are. I'd negotiate the price down some and get 'em, if they were local to me (and I had room for any more speakers! :D)

I owned a pair and they they didn't excite me at all no matter what amp/receiver/separates I put on them. The ones listed look like crap overall to me but maybe speakers are at a premium in Omaha. I ended up parting mine out and the parts went all over the world. The cabinets were a little challenged....

If those were local I'd buy them. Many of the speakers that I've found I like living with carry the 'time and phase correct' banner. Vandersteens, various Dahlquist, my all-time favorite Sony SS-m7s...the music just seems to come alive, like a veil is lifted. I've hoped a pair of these would pop up local but so far I haven't seen any (and I'm not driving to Omaha...).

in the pic it doesnt look like the correct alignment/position of the two tweeters. I thought they were all aligned on top of each other? The two tweeters are side-by-side.

Reading the ad, it seems they replaced the tweeters, and those are the old ones to the side. The ones in the small rectangular mounting are the correct ones.
