Strangeband
AK Member and Ale Monger
A year ago today I became a member of Audiokarma.org after visiting this forum and others in search of information about classic or vintage audio gear. That quest was started when my wife suggested I replace some of my broken, worn out audio gear. So I started researching and listening.
I sold my canoe, tallied what was in the change jug from two year's accumulation, and set a budget. Now I am quite happy with a Sansui AU 717 powering things, a Thorens 115 TD turntable (a $20 score), a set of JBL 120 Ti speakers, a set of Polk Monitor 7s, a Sanusi TU 417, and some other peripherals.
Thanks to everyone here for sharing advice, experience, recommendations, opinions, and ideas over the past year.
I've enjoyed reading your postings on many topics, even those I'm not directly interested in, and appreciated the gracious exchanges in forums and messages.
Cheers to AK and to everyone who runs it and to those who participate. It is a very cool place.
