I can't find any information about this receiver online, but I can tell you that if you ever find one, get it, you'll thank me later!

I don't know the power but I'm assuming around 20 watts per channel with a low distortion.

This receiver features and excellent tuner and an impressive phono stage. also the lights make this receiver look very modern where as some of my other gear from the same time can look a little bit dated.

Does anyone else have this or something similar?

Just thought I'd tip you guys on this little receiver.

Maybe I'll have pictures tomorrow, I forgot until it was too late tonight so I apologize for the flash.

I just got 1 yesterday it's an onkyo tx-21 it's really nice but really trebly is the whole dial supposto light up or just the marker?

I don't remember if the whole dial lights up, but make sure the treble tone control isn't turned up, sometimes people put the knobs on wrong and it looks like it is pointing to the middle position but it is not really.

Onkyo

I agree whole heartedly. I would sure like to know the wattage per channel also. I have a technics SL-1400 TT hooked up to it and a pair of CW dx-5's and a pair of pioneer cs-j821t's and I'll tell you what when I crank it you best believe that little onkyo puts out. Great little reciever.

Well, I found the manual through a quick Google search.

According to that, the receiver puts out 30 Watts RMS into 8 ohms, with no more than 0.06% THD.

I managed to find a TX-21 two weeks back in fantastic condition. This is an excellant receiver, everything mentioned above is very accurate.

I took a Receiver from the shelf where I put some years ago (2008?)and dedicated it for daughter of a girlfriend, which is no 14 and wants gear. It is... a TX21 :) 30/ch
Nice Receiver. Only heard with Headphones for now. As far as I test... no flaws, not even pot noise. Only the case cover is looking bad, paint coming off. Ach... and the Lamp for treble defeat is dead.

I picked one up from C.L. a few years back for my girl friends other house and I hooked a pair of old ADS L400s to it. WOW! I can't believe how good it sounds! The soundstage is amazing considering She dictated the placements. (It is HER house, after all, had to look right!) But I get wonderful sound and imaging from a wide area. Sofa, floor, standing.... It rivals my home set with some pretty good stuff. (Mac Pre, Quicksilver amp, Sansui tuner, Warfie 80th Dentons ) It blows me away that such old and inexpensive pieces and really deliver the sound. (Naturally she takes full credit for the speaker set up.) Like finding that cheap wine that is so wonderful.... The thrill of the hunt is always on!! Dropped $155 for the whole shebang.

I recently got one of these. It's not as pretty as a full bodied 70s receiver with fewer lights and less impressive knobs, but if you have any space constraints and can't fit a full beast of a unit, this is a great slimmed down option that has no premium on the collector's market.
