P0lk LS50 Crossover Replacement?

Recapped my KLH model 6 speakers with great results. Decided to do my Polk LS50. But instead of a cap, looks like some sort of coil. Looks pretty beefy too. So any thoughts on mods?

Pulled this pic from Google, says it’s the LS50. Does yours look like this?



If it does, it looks like there’s one on the back side of the board (in purple):



I’ve also seen others listed as the LS50, and look completely different. Can you get us a pic of yours?

You should have a 5.8uF cap in there.

That looks like the one I found, then. Two inductors, a resistor and a single cap.

Wasn’t sure, found a few that claimed they were LS50, but this one has only a large inductor visible when installed. Matched what the OP described.

I just saw pics on the net. Have not pulled mine yet. On my KLH speakers, they use a standard non polarized cap. Which can go out of spec over time. Never saw the resistor/inductor set up. Speakers sound fine. So do I need to worry about it?
