Paint Question on a Hot Tub

I am sure some of you guys and gals out there have spa's or hot tubs. I have one that needs a paint job on the outside fake laminate wood. The sun has faded 2 sides pretty bad. Does anybody have any suggestions on to what kind of paint to use?

I called the store I bought it from and they suggested taking a panel to Home Depot to match the color and let them decide what kind of paint to use. Only thing is that the panels that come off are like 4x4 sheets.....Kinda large to be carrying into the Depot.

Need to know more about what the panels are made of, and are they just faded or cracking/flaking too..... I would chose enamel if they were made of metal? :scratch2:

You should keep water seal on it. I'm on my second, both were and are on my porch. Never really had that problem. Had the first one 13 years. It was a party tub. It wore out and got me a new one. This one is I'm 52 and hurt when I get home tub.

Enamel is a good suggestion due to the moisture or water factor if you have smooth non texture sides. May need a good brush or abrassive scrub with a base sealer if the sides are compressed fiber cement with wood appearance that you would find on say the lower to the ground panels on a pre-fab home. Good luck on your project.
