I'm working on a friend's PAS 4, the newer company from the 1990s. Somehow I burned up the power transformer.

The PCB and the Schematic disagree by 200V as to what should come out of the transformer.

Is there a PAS 4 owner out there willing to take some measurements for me?

Thanks!

The transformer has 2 secondaries, one 300VAC @45mA ( about 420VDC after rectification) and one 15V @1A ( 19VDC )

Honestly, such an old amp should not be used. Send it to me and i'll arrange for a proper museum location :-)

Just wondering if you supplied Grainger with the correct readings. Wondering because of two things that you wrote. 1) It is not that old. The PAS-4 was manufactured in the early 1990s by the Panor Corporation. 2) You wrote that it was an "amp" when the PAS-4 is a preamp.

I did not send "readings" i read and extrapolated from the schematic.
And a preamp is an amp (unless it's a passive )
What's Your question ?

Well, Grainger said he already had a schematic and that his own readings off of a PAS-4 he was working upon, differed from the schematic. So sending him info from the schematic is something which I thought he already had. He is looking for someone who has a working PAS-4 to take those readings for him to verify how it actually operates.
