Phones for walkman

I recently treated myself to a Sony WM EX-36 walkman from 91-92. Sounds great after a good cleaning. Better than any portable I had at the time.

All I need now are some matching headphones, preferably from the same era. Are they still any good? What cans should I look for on ebay?

You can buy some pieces of history new still. Like the completely unaltered Koss Porta Pro https://www.amazon.com/Koss-PortaPr...&qid=1471120689&sr=8-1&keywords=koss+portapro

Here's the history to back that up. In fact they pre-date your Walkman by almost ten years. However they'll beat the pants off of anything that came packaged with Walkman's at the time (I had at least one before my parents switched us over to CD) http://www.innerfidelity.com/content/venerable-koss-porta-pro#fdJpS5bVg4bahl5f.97

I would get some Sennheiser PX-100 II and call it a day.

While they're not from the same era, they look just like the portable headphones from that era.so 99.5% of folks wont know they're not period correct for that walkman.

And they sound about as good as one can expect this sorta headphone to sound, plus they can fold up and be carried in the handy little bag they come in.

I know I really like mine, would buy another pair w/o hesitation if anything happened to those.

Only other ones I have like that are some el'cheapo TDK HP100 that I bought years ago to go w/my Zen Mosiac Mp3 player, and they're just about as good as the Senn's.
