Phono pramp advice requested

I built a tube power amp a couple years ago. I want to build a phono preamp to go with it. I plan to build my own chassis for the PH-14 kit by Tubes 4 Hifi. I will add a selector switch so that I can choose to direct the phono pre or my DAC to the power amp.

I also really want remote-control volume. I bought this kit from eBay which I think will do the job.

I am agonizing over whether to put the volume control kit in the preamp or the power amp.

If I put it in the preamp, the preamp will be a more traditional design that can be used with any power amp. I can also add an output switch so the preamp can be used with multiple power amps. Then I could add a solid-state power amp for use with my TV, so I don't have to power up my tubes when listening to non-music audio.

If I put the volume control in the power amp however, I don't have to have to worry about noise from the control or its 12V power supply interfering with my phono pre. It also makes for a simpler, cleaner preamp design.

What do you think? Is a more feature-rich preamp worth the risk of noise interference? Or is that risk lower than I think? All opinions welcome!

I have not built a preamp with a remote control volume. And since you are already worried about the interaction of the active electronics in the unit with the tubes the only thing i can think of is to build a metal enclosure around the unit so that it would block , hopefully, any rfi/emi radiation. Frankly, or Justinisly, your query is rather rare for this forum and perhaps someone with experience in this area will be able to add more to solving the problem.
