Hello all, I just inherited a Dual CS607 player and want to hook it up to my integrated Simaudio Neo 340i. I can get the optional card installed for the phono stage of for same money get a MM dedicated external Rega Fono MM.
Card is clean but sound wise would Rega be any better? Speakers are Focal 826W
Thanks
Bruce.

I have the Simaudio Moon 110LP phono preamp and find it very good. My thinking on the matter is some of the cost is in the case and power supply. Adding a phono board to an existing case and power supply would give you good quality at lower expense. You could also eliminate yet another set of IC's since your table would plug into the inputs of your int. amp. My vote is for the Simaudio board.

I use the Simaudio LP 5.3, which is essentially the same as the 310. It is a superb phono stage.

Well Gentlemen, I believe that we have some consensus and sound minds.
I have some wonderful Clarus Aqua Interconnects that I NEEDED for my SACD player, but don't want to purchase similar for this mission. Nice to hear from Simaudio guys, thanks much for the input, I am going to get the card installed but dealer says the Factory is on vacation!! have to wait a bit I guess.

Thanks
Bruce

Great. Thanks for the clarification and the pic! It makes more sense to do the right
Thing. Just wish I had ordered the phono option when it was new.
