Pics of your listening space

I realized it's been ages since I posted in this thread. Room hasn't changed much, though system has evolved a little bit:

IMG_8082.JPG

For context, it's a third-floor spare "bedroom" in a 1920s colonial, approx 15x12, with a sloping ceiling (as you can see).

System is a hodge-podge of misc. stuff:
- GR Research N2x+ speakers
- conrad-johnson SA-250 amp
- McIntosh C220 preamp
- Denon DVD-3910 "universal" player
- Pro-Ject Xperience turntable w/Ortofon 2M Black cartridge
- McIntosh MR74 tuner (currently being repaired, so a little back-up is in its place) connected to a 4-element Yagi on the roof
- Cables are Audioquest King Cobras, Morrow phono, and Avanti Audio speaker cables.

CDs, LPs, and music are out in the next room (the the left of the photo).

That's a great setup you have. Nice to see the rest of your system other than the turntable. :) For some reason I thought you used vintage speakers. Or do you have multiple pairs and switch out from time to time ?

I haven't had vintage speakers up there in a while - Epos preceeded these, Vandersteens before them, and a mixture previous to that, though I did have a set of McIntosh vintage speakers for a while, years ago.

My system downstairs uses rebuilt KLH 20 speakers, maybe that's it?

I want to ask if you have enough headphones but I know that is a silly question to ask because the answer is no. Lol great gear
haha yeah...no. When people come to my house my wife loves to show off my home theater room/man cave and she gets asked a lot, "why does he have so many headphones?"

Her response: "I don't know...."

LOL each is used for a particular genre. I need all of them and I always am looking for something new.

My me made line active 3 way thin wall 40s like computer room tune makers.

The photo I saw was from around 2010. Definitely a few years. So your probably correct.

Nice setup and room! That is a big insulator you got in the floor.:)

Here's a not so pleasant update. My GF and I broke up, and I moved back into my old tiny bedroom in the house I grew up in. It'll do for now. We're still going to be friends and all, but there's just nothing between us anymore. Situations like this absolutely suck, but two people can't stay together that way either.

No, one cannot do that and expect to be happy. It’s best you figured this out now before it became even more complicated. I surely feel for you, but life will normalize and get better. And you are set for now, even if the place is smaller.

I decided to move the gear from behind the speakers, and now they're in the corner behind the listening chair. I had to eliminate the power conditioner (can't hear any difference) and one of the two turntables (didn't need it anyway). So far so good!

Say it look like you still get pussy though because Giorgi love cats and stereos.
