Pioneer PL-115D Tonearm Help (Sagging Weight)

I recently acquired a Pioneer PL-115D turntable that needs some attention before it can be added to my stereo system. The first issue I want to address is the sagging counter weight on the back of the tonearm. After removing the portion of the tonearm that the weight attaches to I have discovered that the internal screw appears to be bent. For the life of me I cannot remove this screw or the coupling to take a closer look to remedy the issue. Any thoughts?

Take the fiber washer off to inspect the end where the threaded portion ends on the C.W. My feelings are this could be a 1 piece unit milled and threaded. If you have a clear delineation of threads and C.W., Double nut the threads about 1/2 way to the C.W. Tighten them together. Then turn the Inner most of the nuts (lefty loosey) CAREFULLY. If it's actually threaded into the C.W. it should come out. Otherwise find a machine shop that might be able to straighten it out, or fabricate a new one.
