If it's the silver one and all the auto functions work and the price isn't to high I'd say go for it, If it's in really nice cosmetic shape. We are not allowed here to discuss price. So let your wallet be your guide.

Would this be better than a Thorens TD 160 MKII with a "precept audio technical MM"(?) cartridge for up to twice the price with the possibility of being outbid? I can't decide between the two, and they both end at about the same time.
Also, can anyone guess what the "precept audio technical MM" cartridge is? I contacted the seller asking to be more specific, but he/she didn't reply.

If it is the PL-600 with BIN $225 it is fair deal. (If there is no undisclosed damage) I own one and it is one of my favorites. The Grado should sound quite good on it and is a nice match. It isn't a score, but if I were selling one it is about what I would be asking.
