Pioneer SA-910, Sansui AU-9900 or a Sansui AU-20000?

There are three amps all going for around the same amount. Of course the AU-20000 has the best specs and was the most expensive new. But the Pioneer sure looks beautiful and as far as I can tell is TOTL. I already have a Sansui AU-888, which I love, so I know Sansui is good.

The description for the Pioneer says that the volume pot is abut scratchy, but other than that, there are no problems. The description for the for both Sansuis are rather cryptic...Even for my wife, who is Japanese said the one for the AU-9900 was strange...

Anyways...which one do you think would be best? I love the sound of my 888, so I guess that could be a reference point...

A link to info on the SA-910, as it seems to be rare in other countries

Above and beyond the cryptic, I would be on the AU-20000 1st, AU-9900 2nd and SA-910 3rd. Based on what I've heard from others, not having owned any of these. Interesting the prices are similar. If you don't mind spilling the beans, how much are they going for in $? Oh, and pics please if you pick one up. Good luck and karma to you. :smoke:

SA-910 looks like the Japan market version of the SA-9100. Nice amp but not in the same league as the other two. Topsout at about 300. Would like it for much less.

If the AU-20000 works and looks nice, and is under a thousand dollars, buy it. You can sell it for more.

I wouldn't pay over $350 for an AU-9900 but that's just me being cheap. They sell for more, often.

The AU-9900 is Doc's favorite due to servicability and durability non issues.

I own the SA-9100 and AU-20000.

You should say how much they are up for sale for.

Thanks for the input guys. I just got my wife to translate the AU-20000s description. It says it has some problems but right now good sound is coming out. The right channel meter doesn't move. It has a lot of scratches. Right now, it's going for about $150US but it still has 2 days to go. The same price and time left as the Pioneer, which looks to be in mint condition.
The AU-9900, cosmetically looks good. The guy has done some work on it. He makes a big point out of it not having original parts, so I'm not sure if he as just recapped it or done something crazy! Right now it's going for about $100.

I guess another option for me is to get my AU-888 recapped...
On average, how much does it usually cost to get something like that done? Of course prices will differ in Japan, but I wouldn't mind a frame of reference.

Thanks
