Pioneer SX-650 Equalizer Amp Assembly Help

Hello, all. Fairly new to this so I am hoping one of the wiser of you may help. I have a SX-650 that is not clicking in to protection. So I am trying to diagnose all the components. I have gone through most of the pcb's. I have the service manual, but I can not seem to find the Equalizer Amplifier Assembly. AWK-065. Am I blind? Where is it located in the chassis? Do I have a version that does not have this board?

  • Location: Inside, towards the rear of the unit, positioned directly behind the input jacks (phono/aux).
  • Identification: The assembly holds four transistors (often two per channel).
  • Version Variance: In later production runs of the SX-650, this dedicated board was replaced by an Integrated Circuit (IC) located elsewhere in the signal path.

This was perfect. I must have a later version as mine is on the Tuner board. Found it. Looks like the board is replaced by two of the TA7136p.
