Hi all
In the process of relamping my sx-737 i'm wondering what the specs are for these.
I took one out and it says 12V 0.5 but results i get from ebay are just 8V leds.
I'm really wanted to keep the original look and use incandescent fuse lamps so what are the specs 12V or 8V ?
Any links to find those are appreciated too.
Thanks.

I got some bulbs from David a year or so back. Back then he told me (unless things have changed) that his supplier was about to stop making filament fuse type bulbs - maybe something to do with filament bulbs being less "green" than LEDs? I'm not sure.

I'm also working on a similar receiver, SX-636. With the same bulbs and I'm looking into LED conversion. So far I've looked into getting LED filament bulbs but then converting the 8VAC supply to all the lamps in the unit to a controllable smoothed DC supply to power LEDs in a flicker-free way. This would also enable me to get the brightness to match the original bulbs. I've even added a short soft start to the power supply to mimic the original filaments "warming up". If you or anyone else is interested, let me know and I'll share my results.

The original fuse lamps are 8v, I think 200ma or 250ma. You can replace them with LED fuse lamps--the ones most legit eBay sellers have use little SMD diodes so they will work fine on AC or DC. I have all the LED fuse lamp varieties available on eBay, as well as all the incandescents--8v at 200ma, 250ma, and 300ma, and a few other voltages. I would recommend using warm white or cool white LEDs in there--they look really good.

I have not heard anything about incandescents being discontinued, and my supplier still offers them.

If that's the case, great. Maybe I confused it with axial lamps? I just remember there might be a forthcoming issue with one or the other at the time...

lazy former owner? or wanted a dimmer more yellow look? 7.5v ac for the lighting circuit is holy writ.

Fuse type lamps are 8v 300mA. The round lamps (4mm?) are 8v 5omA.
