Bought the service manual, had 9 pages on this unit and the 3900 then 31 pages on the 3700 and 3600. Trying to find the details to making an FM stereo alignment on this unit. When tuning, can tune to stereo broadcast but the stereo light and the tuned light does not come on. Sometimes it does when I move the antenna around. Have changed antennas without help. Have had a lot of 3800s and this seems like this one unit needs a little alignment .
Have you got the alignment info and a tuner card diagram I could follow? Or are you experienced at aligning this particular unit. It really would help.
Also, has anyone fixed making the lights on the ends of the graphic equalizer sliders come on. They are off on this unit.
This unit sustained damage in shipping. The plastic face was cracked, the power switch module was completely pulled out of it soldier points on the board. The bass, far left, equalizer slider handle was broken but still attached to the slider.
Hope someone knows something about this.
