power transformer needed.!!!!

Hello every one I need your help am working a a SANSUI AU-X701 and I need a new power transformer anybody knows where I can get it and provide a part # please thank you for your help and hope to hear from you soon.!!!!!!

Why do you think you need a power transformer, these rarely if every fail. Are you sure that there is not some other problem that you are overlooking?

Don't you have the manual for it?
That part number is probably in there.

Anyone want to wager he has a blown inrush resistor preventing the unit from powering up?

Gitronics, welcome to AudioKarma Exclusively Sansui. As CDfixer stated, it is very very unusual for a Sansui transformer to fail completely. There are other conditions that can appear to be a failed transformer. Do you have power at the transformer input when the power switch is on? I'll bet you don't.

Thanks guys for answered back but I know what you mean and yes the power transformer is dead I got 120V ac i the primary and nothing comes on at the secundary power switch is working I have disconnected the secundary and don't have any voltage coming out and yes I don't have the manual that is main reason why I decide to ask for help if anyone has it would you help me out I am just trying to save this amp.thanks again for reply and thanks for your time.
