Pre amp for BAF1

Hi folks .
Im in the process of purchasing a BAF1 power amp but without its matched CAF1 pre amp.

3 days back the market boy told me he will be getting a sansui pre amp. But didnot know the model

After 3 days wait and my anxiousness , he now texted me that its a C2102.

Now simply id like to know if i should go for it . ???.
I do have integrated sansuis that can have decent pre amps too.

Hold out for a CA-F1. There are others that can be used until then.
For now consider the pre amp section of a 717 or 517. Or just use another brand of pre until you find a CA-F1.

I have a CA-F1 but use an AU-717 as the preamp for my BA-F1. All three are fully restored. I also use a Marchand active crossover and feed the low end back to the AU-717 to drive a passive sub. I tried the CA-F1 but didn't see an improvement vs. the AU-717 as preamp, and I prefer the big stepped volume knob on the 717. YMMV. I am going to try the CA-F1 as the preamp in my secondary system, which is based on a Harman-Kardon HK 730 receiver.

I owned the C2102 for awhile.
It was very nice and worked well. Never gave me any issues IIRC with the relays like others have experienced.

Kept a NAD 1000 preamplifier that I still have let the Sansui move along.
