Nice price point. Really like the aluminum arm and rubber platter. However, I am sticking with the ultrasonic method. Does a better job and makes for more efficient cleaning process. Can complete multiple LP's in a single pass. My two cents.
 
This is making me think twice about getting the Record Doctor V. Still quite a bit more in price but if it does a good job, I'm sold on it.
 
Sounds like a great complementary product to go with their TT's, especially the nice mid and upper price TT's that they sell.
 
It looks high end, much more than the price would suggest. Interested in any views as to performance, build quality, noise level and replacement suction wands/pads.
 
Great price point, but a few concerns: Looks like it only cleans one side at a time, from the top. This makes batch cleaning tedious and working against gravity. Also, I really like a brush separate from the vacuum for working fluid into the grooves, like on my Nitty Gritty. Maybe it comes with this? Finally, the unit seems way larger than I would think it needs to be (where is one to store that behemoth?). I'd really have to see it in action first hand before buying.
 
^^^At $400 which RCM cleans both sides at once. None that I know of, but I may be ignorant of the availability of such a product. I'm sure at $400, you will need a MoFi or brush of some type. Wish my VPI was a bit larger on top so spills of liquids were easier to get to.

Could this be my Christmas Present I am looking at here??

Compare for a moment..... I can get a Keith Monks Machine for $5K, a VPI HW 16.5 for $650.00, and a Nitty Gritty for around $400.00 (with NO Motor under the Platter, I have to turn the Record by hand).

NOW, I can get THIS BABY??? For $400.00?!?! And it turns the Record for you?? Comes with a Brush Holder, a Vacuum Wand and a Collection Tray?!?!

This could be the one I've been waiting for.

This is DEFINITELY a Game Changer I'm looking at here.

Will we see it on the market in Fall 2015???

If so, I'm putting one under MY tree this Christmas.

Personally think we'll see it but the $399 price point won't last if it even starts up at that level. Either way the competition of a new unit in the market is a good thing. Okki had a good thing going but screwed it up with supply issues. This looks like a great replacement unit from a company who has a supply chain established.
 
Yeah, but does it have a motor inside the cabinet that rotates the record for you?? Or do you have to rotate the record yourself??

Because if it DOES rotate the record for you as well, then consider me sold.

If not, then I might as well get the Record Doctor V for half the money.

yeah... i hate to say it... but looking at the video i got the impression that was a pure "display" only.... it looks more like a model then an actual record cleaner.... - my guess is its empty inside.... -at least the one in the video....
-if it was functional, wouldn't you have it turned on and spinning ?

- happy with my spin clean and scrubbing bubbles for the heavy jobs....

The price is great, but after months of saving for a VPI 16.5 (which I plan to order in two weeks) I just don't feel like waiting for the fall release. Plus, I already know the track record of the VPI.
 
I recently went from the RD to the VPI 16.5 found locally and man as much as I loved the RD the VPI is really a different beast. Very happy with it! Looking at the pictures the Pro-ject looks to be a very similar design and should do the job well.
