Pulley protector

When rebuilding a receiver it often gets flipped around a lot. I'm always afraid of banging into the tuner pulleys and breaking something. This pulley protector is smoked Lexan because that was what was handy, but any piece of flat sheet metal or heavy plastic would do. Quick saw cut, two holes and done. If you change brands of receiver, just drill another hole as needed. The side holes on many receivers are M4 and I try to keep some extra screws around.

regardless of said pulley 'protector? more like a chassis adjustment regardless and Conrads work maybe not be photo centerfold babes? he does real nice work but a crap photographer self admitted.. me, too!! :D

Yes, it would have been better with Heidi Keppert lovingly cradling the receiver for the photo, but you know how it goes...

Simple preventative/protective measures can definitely help avoid future damage and heartbreak....
