I have wanted to add a sub to my system for a good while and I think I have found one that will fit my space and budget - SVS SB-1000 Pro.
Currently my Nikko preamp feeds a Nikko 440 amp from each of its 2 outputs. Each amp runs a Revel F32 speaker in vertical bi-amp mode.
Optimally, the sub should run from the preamp, but I'm short of outputs, or alternatively from line level (speaker) outputs.
Will a Y-adapter for the preamp (low level input to the sub) work OK? What are the downsides?
TIA
