Rambler speakers?

While I am busy posting pics, can anyone enlighten me on these Rambler speakers. A co worker was going to throw them out when they got new speakers and gave them to me a few months ago. Drivers are all 'Atomix' brand (made in Japan I think), the mid range has a sealed back.

They sound quite good, I used them for about a week in my living room while I was doing some work on my 'good' speakers. I can't find anything on the net, anyone seen these before?

By the time these came out Rambler were just importing stuff and sticking their name on it. If you want to find anything about them you'll probably need to find out what other brands they were sold under.

Thanks Dr.ido, so you know the name Rambler then? I have never heard of it.

These certainly are not the highest end of town speakers, but they are reasonably well constructed, and do produce a pleasent sound. I have no idea what other speakers the 'atomix' drivers are used in. Every search for 'atomix' and 'rambler' brings up software and cars :sigh:

Does anyone know of this driver, maybe I should pull a couple and post pics of them, anyone interested? .......anyone...........

The only Rambler I've ever heard of was the automobile

first as a body style of the Nash company and then it became a brand onto itself when AMC took it over.
