Rare Boston acoustics A-120s

The A120's I had didn't have any fuses in them. I sold mine in good working order for $50 locally. The guy was very happy with his purchase. As for rarity, I don't see them that often on the auction site so they could be.
 
With in a week. I got my A-120s for free and gave them away for free. Another friend noticed them while I had the A-120s and said he just tossed his in the dumpster the night before...arg. All it needed were new surrounds. It was to late to go dumpster diving.

And I haven't seen any A-120s since. Great speakers.
 
Hm...where does one find replacement tweeters for BA speakers? Is there a handy sort of centralized humanspeakers-type source?

I can't recall as fortunately all mine have had good tweeters. But there was a thread where member kenwood61 went a 'huntin' and got them.

GordonW I think helped in the search. If I recall correctly, it wasn't that hard to land them.

at least regarding the original BA tweeteres, that were the SEAS brand.

I think it would be interesting to hear a passive radiator version of my beloved favorites, the Boston acoustics brand, mine all being acoustic suspention models/sealed.
 
I did some searching and have concluded it's not worth it to me. Reviews of these were mixed and I have too many speakers already - no sense in getting another pair (especially in need of repair) unless they're stellar quality or a staggeringly good buy.

I did see some interesting talk about recreating one of those EPI models that had passive radiators. Sounds tempting...but that's off topic!
