I would probably give them a call, though I'm gonna guess the answer may be a no since they are technically Realistic headphones.

See if they were made by Koss, as all my Radio Shack headphones were Koss. They may be able to help if that's the case.

The Koss warranty only covers headphones bought after July 1989.

If you are having problems with them you might be able to fix them by tinkering with the wires below the plug.

It is an easy operation if they are the same as mine (which it sounds like is the case).

I bought a pair of Realistic Custom Pros for 25 cents at a yard sale this summer because I would only be out that if they did not work--which was probably going to be the case.

Plugged them into my stereo, and sure enough, there was barely any sound coming through the left and none at all through the right.

Took a look at the plug and inadvertently twisted the plastic covering below the plug and discovered that it was designed to be screwed off.

Loosened and tightened a screw at the bottom of the plug and hit the wires with some red and gold de-oxit, and the headphones work like a charm and sound great.

Had a pair of LV-10s way back in the late 70s. God I loved those cans! Long gone but I would dearly love to find a pair, for old times sake.

My first headphones were Custom Pro -- way back in 70-something. Didn't really care much for them, they hurt my head when worn very long. But they didn't cost much and offered some listening privacy. I also experienced dropouts from flaky plug connections before sending them off to the headphone Great Beyond.

They come up on auction occasionally. Keep an eye out and you might snag a working pair to repair or replace yours. Probably wouldn't set you back much more than two-way shipping for warranty repair, if such service were available.
