Realistic optimus 5B

Hi,
I have an opportunity to pick up a pair of realistic optimus 5B speakers. drivers are in very good condition,but the cabinets are pretty rough.Some of the veneer is peeling.Do you think they are worth $40?Sorry,but i don't have any pics. Your thoughts?

I got my 5Bs for $40 but they were in near mint condition. The woofers have the coated surrounds that don't rot. The grills are velcroed, you may need to use a spatula to gently pry them off. I just made a pull tab on the bottom so I could just pull on that.

Depends on what you already have that might be better.They're good all around speakers.
 
Thanks terra1! The speakers are complete w/grills, but the cabs are pretty bad!I think $ 40 is just too much for them.I'm just looking for a nice vintage set for my Sansui 2000A receiver for my computer room. Right now i'm awaiting pending sales of other equipment.....:yes:
