Recommendations for new Stylus or Cartridge/stylus combo?

Hi everybody,

New member here... I have a Sony PS X5 record player with a Marantz 2230 receiver and Celestion 5MKII speakers.

The record player was my Dad's and hardly ever played. I want to upgrade the original Shure Premiere Stylus (over 30 yrs old). I willing to spend up to $200 either on an audiophile replacement stylus or some other cartridge/stylus combo.

I've been told the Stanton 680E v3 are good. Do you guys have any recommendations and the best places to buy them?

Thanks again for your help!

What Shure cartridge does it have currently? There are a lot of options for most Shures, but exactly what depends on the model.

I've got a 680E.v3 and its not bad at all. I got mine from amazon.com for about 45 bucks. Its not quite as good as my vintage 681EE or 681EEE but it works very well on a record changer or something that needs a little more tracking weight.

The Shure Premiere Yellow stylus crosses to SHURE N95ED Elliptical. The TOTL aftermarket replacement would be a JICO N95 SAS.
An undamaged little-used original N95ED stylus may be perfectly usable after inspection and a gentle clean-off.

So all I need to replace is just the Stylus - It will fit my old Shure Premiere Yellow?

Does your cartridge body look like this one?
