I don't think Rectilinear measured and published the efficiency / sensitivity of their speakers. Correct ?
We assume they are not efficient because their literature recommends 50 watts per in a larger room. Many Rectilinear fans have suggested 100 watts or more per to make them rock.
I'm currently running my Rectilinear III highboys in a fairly big family room with a Pilot tube amp that puts out 20 watts per. The volume is more than adequate. They sound fantastic with a tube amp.
These are 8 ohm speakers and I'm guessing they rate at about 89db sensitivity.
Just an FYI, the Highboys rock with tubes.
Cheers, Snade
