Refurb. cost?

I know it depends on what needs to be done, and who's doing it, but on average about how much would it cost to get a 2275 in okay but non-usable condition fixed up? I'm just looking for a ballpark average receiver fix-up cost, or a range of costs. Thanks.

For a full recap, cleanup, and lamp replacement, expect about $350. That doesn't include blown outputs or transformers. There you go, it's definitely worth the cost, especially on a 2275.

Double that on a quad???

Not necessarily double, quads don't have that many more caps than a stereo receiver. I think a 2275 has around 90 caps, a quad would have around 110, by my guess. There would be a more cost due to quads being harder to work on, cramped space equals more labor.

Ah all dependents..... In the end I did about a 125 caps on my 4400 and that was not all of them.
