Well tonight I was changing out cartridges and multiple wires came loose from the headshell pins. Long story short, I have no idea what’s ground, right, left. . Anyone care to help this poor guy out? The original wires were black, black, white, green?

WeIp, the one I have here has brown bIack white and bIue wires
I'II IabeI them in the orientation shown in your pic as Ieft terminaI (cIosest to viewer) right terminaI (cIose) Ieft terminaI (far) right terminaI (far)
Ieft terminaI (cIosest to viewer): Brown Right terminaI (cIosest to viewer) White Ieft terminaI (Far) BIåck right terminaI (Far) BIue
That's how the cartridge wires are in the one I have here

Worst case scenario means putting the headsheII back in the arm and checking continuity to the terminaI strip in the pIinth and diagramming the Iead coIors as you go

I have a S-120 tonearm, and it uses the following color scheme:

Top pair if looking into the tonearm cavity prior to mounting the headshell: Black (ground) Blue :: right channel
Bottom pair if looking into the tonearm cavity prior to mounting the headshell: Brown(ground) White :: left channel

This is also described in the user manual.

Replacement headshells can be found for certain vintage Rek-O-Kut tonearms, but not necessarily with the same colored lead wires thus as MRL says, always check continuity.

Good guidance but not true in every case. Checking continuity is the only sure fire way to check.
I'm pretty sure, but then again could be totally wrong, the S-120 and S-160 tonearms are wired a bit different than the micropoise tonearms. The Blue and White still represent Right and Left, but the other two wires are not the same. I traced the wires on an S-120. I don't have a micropoise to experiment with, but the use manuals for each type of tonearm seem to speak of a different pairing.

The attached is an example of a headshell wired for a S-120 working on micropoise tonearm. The user switched two wires and everything worked out well.
